Church History

Liberty Abundance Full Gospel Pentecostal Ministries was conceived in August of 1996.

Evangelist Cynthia D. L. Petties while married to Rev. Stan Petties I. At this time, the Petties family

were members of the Rock of Ages Full Gospel Baptist Church under the leadership of The Late

Bishop Lee Daniel McCauley.   The prophecy of this ministry was spoken through Mother Gay Willis,

in August 1994, at that time instructions were given to Evangelist Petties on how this ministry should be established and cared for. Mother Gay Willis said specifically “Do not forget home”....

Evangelist Petties thought Mother Gay meant the church she was currently attending, she later

found out she misunderstood the instructions. Therefore, the ministry never delivered.

When the ministry was conceived again in August of 1999, the Petties’ family began to fellow-
ship with the Everlasting Life Ministry under the leadership of Pastors Marcus and Rosiland Pauld-
en. While Evangelist Petties thought the Spirit was telling her to place the ministry there, she begin

to set up the ministry and begin to have services at Everlasting Life Ministry at 1:00p.m. After 5

months the conception was miscarried. While Pastor Cynthia begin to ponder why the ministry

didn’t deliver, the Lord made her realize the instructions given to her through Mother Gay Willis, and

she begin to pray for the “revelation” of the instructions. The Petties Family then moved their mem-
bership to the Gospel Mission Church, under the leadership of Pastor Roosevelt Dunn, in February

2000. Hoping to help build that ministry instead of persevering, the family served there until the

Lord revealed the rest of the vision in February 2002.

The Lord revealed that the “home” Mother Gay Willis was talking about was the Faith Temple

Full Gospel Pentecostal Church in Wichita, Kansas under the leadership of the late, great Elder

Aquilla Smith. That home is where Sis. Petties, McPherson at that time, was saved, “for real”, taught

the word of God in Power and authority. God made it evident in that same month when He called

Elder Smith home to be with Him. As God continue to prove Himself, Evangelist Petties reconnected

with the Faith Temple FGP Church under the leadership of Pastor Gloria Smith, who began pastoral

leadership after the death of her husband, in March 2002.

As the presence of God moved in the development and birthing of this ministry it was im-
portant that Evangelist Petties knew and understood the name and purpose of the ministry. God

begin to show her specifics of liberating the people of God from the bondages of sin and how His peo-
ple should have more than enough freedom to live successful lives in Him.

Abundance Ministries was held at the beauty shop of Sis. Angela Poole in the 1700 block of N. Lottie

Oklahoma City, OK. Those present were Evangelist Cynthia Petties, Rev. Stan Petties, Bro. Gary

and Angela Poole, Sis. Beverly Putman, Sis. April Viney, and Sis. ShaChrista Lewis. Our first service

was Sunday, May 1, 2002 at 5520 E. Reno while sharing a building with City of Praise, under the

On July 7, 2002 we had our first service at 627 NE. 2nd St. God moved in that place. He has revealed

to us, in us, and through us that this conception, this time was not miscarried, aborted, or premature. After serving in that location 5 years because of the condition of the building we then moved to 3121 N. Classen. God continued moving although there were several oppositions. The church then moved to 504 S. Dewey. After staying there a year, complications rose with the building and there were times we had service in the dark because of problems with the electric unit and other mishaps, but we were learning perseverance. We then moved to 1517 SE 44th, while renting a space from Equipped Ministries, Pastor Marsha Walters. After renting 6 months God blessed us relocate to 4520 S. Bryant. God begin to move mightily in the prison minis-try. Many families were blessed, healed and delivered.

We begin to grow so we moved to 3400 E. Reno only to be incubated in the Pastor’s home a short time later. Although, we weren’t in an actual church building God continued to move. During that time many people came and went. Many left because we didn’t have a church building but the TRUE Liberty did not miss one Sunday Service. Pastor Cynthia’s den was used for the meetings, Sunday Service, Wednesday night Bible study, children’s church, Easter programs, Christmas programs and Deliverance services as well. Nothing changed in Power and Presentation during our “Incubation Period” then God blessed us through Sis. Monica Duncan, to move to 2701 S. Pennsylvania Ave OKC, OK  73108.

In that location, we served faithfully.  Many were added to the church as God saw fit, although there have been many transitions we are still standing.  We served on South Pennsylvania til July 2017.  God allowed us to cross over Jordan... to our current location.  We know He has a plan for the ministry as long as we trust him and stay faithfully.  We will celebrate our Birth April 30-May 6, 2018
